Chandragiri Hill is 12 kilometers from Thamel and lies on the South-West of Kathmandu Valley and it is 2551 meters high from the sea level. The views from Chandragiri with soaring peaks is breath-taking and the whole of Kathmandu Valley covered with lush green blanket of flora makes it a truly great bountiful and pristine landscape. From here, you can look down Kathmandu Valley and the panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges from the Annapurna to the Everest makes any one feel like seeing whole Nepal from this hill.

All about the Chandragiri.

Chandragiri Hill is 12 kilometers from Thamel and lies on the South-West of Kathmandu Valley and it is 2551 meters from sea level. The views from Chandragiri with soaring peaks is breath-taking and the whole of Kathmandu Valley covered with lush green blanket of flora makes it a truly great bountiful and pristine landscape. From here, you can look down Kathmandu Valley and the panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges from the Annapurna to the Everest makes any one feel like seeing whole Nepal from this hill.

There is the facility of cable car with 17 minutes of traveling time in cable car which is 2 ½ kilometers from base station. People interested to drive can go through 7 kilometers of rough road to reach to the top of the hill and those who are interested in hiking can reach to the top in 3 hours.

  • Drive from Thamel in Scorpio car, preferably in the morning.
  • Tea and coffee. Breakfast (Toast, Omelet, sweat beans, juice & souses) in your requirement
  • Pack lunch (Tea and coffee, French fried & fried noodle , boiled potato, sandwich etc)
  •  Tea coffee or Noodle soup at ending point in Himalayan Java in Chandragiri Base Station or close by, depending on your booking

  • All expenses due to unavoidable events e.g. Personal illness, strike etc.
  1. Day 1 First Option

    Walk up early morning and travel from your hotel and reach there by sunrise to see massive Mountain View of Mt. Manaslu to Everest .

  2. Day 2 Second Option

    Eat your breakfast and move at 8 AM, see the city on the way. It is approximately one hour from Thamel if no traffic.

  3. Day 3 Third option

    Travel to the bottom of the mountain and hike 3 to four hours to reach the top and return using cable car or hike back. Pack lunch and water are compulsory.

There is no accommodation provided before the pick up and after the drop off. Please manage your accommodation or book for it.
